Eugenio Cuttica Foundation

The Eugenio Cuttica Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to the preservation, promotion and transmission of the legacy of the artist Eugenio Cuttica. Driven by a team of professionals, its main objective is the protection of the collection of works, writings, conferences, interviews and documents of the artist, for the purpose of disseminating the uninterrupted work for more than five decades.

We consider that his work contains aesthetic, philosophical values, linked to transcendence, focused on self-formation, study, work, creative thinking, philosophical truth, beauty, love, truth and freedom; that can inspire future generations on a path that helps the search for meaning and higher quality of life.

Through its activities, it seeks to stimulate the benefits of merit, spiritual and intellectual improvement and the evolution as human beings that we are born.

Eugenio Cuttica

Eugenio Cuttica was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 3, 1957. He studied Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires and later specialized in Painting and Sculpture at the National Academy of Fine Arts.

He worked as an assistant to the Great Masters of Argentine Painting, such as Julio Martínez Howard and Antonio Berni, gaining valuable experience and artistic insight that deeply influenced his future work.

Throughout his formative years, he developed a strong personal style, merging traditional techniques with a visionary approach focused on transcendence, beauty, and philosophical exploration through art.

Career Highlights

1988

Won the "Young Painters" First Award, Amalia Lacroze Foundation.

1989

Selected as a finalist to represent Argentina at the Venice Biennale.

2014

Commissioned to create the artwork for San Pedrito Station (Buenos Aires Metro).

2015

Held the retrospective exhibition "La Mirada Interior" at the National Museum of Fine Arts.

2019

Declared a "Distinguished Personality in the Field of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires" by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

2024

Received the “Juan Bautista Alberdi National Deputy Honor Mention” from the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation in recognition of his career and contributions to democratic and republican values. He was the first visual artist to receive this distinction.
